Local anger is continuing to grow against the Tory / Lib Dem council's
decision to axe the Middleton Park bonfire. Tonight's Yorkshire Evening

Thank you for supporting our bonfire. I live on Town Street and go to the bonfire every year. I usually vote for the Liberal Democrats because I didn't trust Labour. You have my vote because its the Liberals and Tories who can't be trusted.

Why has the council done this. I think the Tories and Liberals want to punish people in south Leeds for voting Labour.

I am disgusted that the Tory and Lib Dem council has done this to us. I can't afford to buy fireworks for my kids as a single parent. Why should my children have to do without a bonfire and fireworks because we live in Middleton and not Rounday. If the Roundhay bonfire was scrapped no doubt people there could afford to put on their own. A community bonfire is much more needed in Middleton.
