This week's plans

Thankfully it's a lighter week ahead:

Tuesday - full council,
including a delegation from Friends of Middleton Park about the
bonfire. Full council starts at 14:00 and can go onto about 22:00.

Wednesday - first meeting to look at 'intensive' activity to deliver some real improvements on the main Middleton estate

Thursday - Westwood's Community Association

I've also got quite a lof of casework to follow-up on. Some of it is
where I've had a success and need to let the constituent know and some
where I need to chase officers again.

Once again the North /South divide across Leeds is shown for what it's worth. The action of cancelling the Middleton bonfire just reflects the councils lack of understanding of how to develope community spirit.
The sooner we have a Labour council back running the city, the better it will be for all of us!
( and I voted Tory in the last election...but never again!)

Yes, but now we find out Stewart refused to help with policing costs for the Middleton bonfire - all is not as it first appears!

The small amount of community money councillors give to community groups should be just that. It is the council's responsibility to provide security at events.
